Eligibility Requirements for Japanese Government Scholarship 2021

Candidates must meet some requirements to be eligible for the Japanese Government scholarship 2021

  • Students must be proficient in English.
  • Students from any country can apply for this scholarship.
  • Students must be citizens of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.
  • Japanese citizens can not apply for this scholarship. 
  • Applicants who want to pursue undergraduate study must be at least 17 years old and not more than 25 years. As well as they have to complete 12 years of school education or equivalent level.
  • For the master program, candidates must be under 35 years of age and have to complete graduation from a reputed university or teacher training college. Besides, candidates must have experience of working as a teacher in a primary, secondary, or teacher training college.

How to Apply for MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship 2021?

  • Find out the Japanese Embassy or Consulate of your country.
  • Visit the official website of the Japanese Embassy in your country. You will find the MEXT scholarship under the Education or Scholarship tab.
  • Now download the MEXT scholarship application form there and fill it.
  • Submit the required documents to the Japanese Embassy of your country.
